Detailed information

Product detailed description

Red wine made from grapes grown in Salento. The bouquet offers the aroma of small red fruits. Fresh and harmonious. Intense and brilliant ruby color. The bouquet offers the aroma of small red and black fruits, dominated by notes of cherries and blueberries with oak spices, candle smoke, and cedar supporting the fruity notes. Fresh and harmonious, it is a velvety wine with fine tannins and a prolonged finish. The grapes are harvested by hand in the first days of September from vineyards cultivated by the Guyot system in Salento. The density is 4,500 plants per hectare, with a production of about 2,500 grams per plant.  Ripened in medium  fired  American oak barrels for about 4 months

PRIMITIVO  is the name of the variety that is grown in the  PUGLIA region (Apuglia in Czech). The name is probably derived from biological cycles. This is the variety that blooms first and is also the first to be harvested, at the beginning of the week of September. In Italian it is said "primo" and from that derives the name "primitivo". Genetically identical to the California Zinfandel variety. The Primitivo variety is probably of Croatian origin, similar to varieties such as Crljenka Kaštelanski, Tribidrag or Plavac Mali grown mainly on the Pelješač peninsula.

Why do I like it?

The distinct taste will dazzle fans of southern Italian wines and especially the Primitivo variety. Very interesting ratio between quality and price. Distinct notes of red fruit, jam and baked plums.
