Bortolotti

A LONG TRADITION
For over seventy years, Cantine Umberto Bortolotti has been presenting its high-quality sparkling wines, which refer to the centuries-old local winemaking tradition, complement the constantly evolving sparkling wine technique and, above all, choose qualitatively all its suppliers, who have been operating on the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene for several generations.

History

After graduating from the wine school at the Connegliano oenology school a few years earlier, Umberto Bortolotti realized his desires in 1947 and breathed life into Cantine in Valdobbiadene with the pioneering spirit and enthusiasm typical of the post-war period. Seriousness and enthusiasm immediately brought him prestige and in 1954 the company was moved to its current headquarters, which had originally been a factory and a farm, subject to subsequent renovations and expansions in response to changing needs. The evolution inherent in the development of the production activity has never betrayed the personal and professional ethics that are spoken of. And indeed, the seriousness, diligence and respect are also inherited today by his son Bruno and grandson Daniele in the management of the cellars, today one of the historic wineries in the Valdobbiadene area.

LINKS WITH VALDOBBIADENE
The company, which is one of the historic wineries  of the municipality of Valdobbiadene,  has long maintained a relationship of trust and ever-growing needs with its local suppliers, to jointly protect and promote the strong territorial identity of the winemaking, defined by many as heroic and which for generations has climbed many coasts and in 2019 gave shape to the territory recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
