Product detailed description

Quiet red wine obtained from grapes grown in Salento on vineyards approximately 50 years old. Hints of cherries with spicy notes of nutmeg and fresh pepper. On the palate it is full, luxurious, with a slightly tannic and harmonious finish. Intense ruby ​​color with garnet highlights. The nose is complex with notes of black cherry and cassis joined by spicy notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and fresh pepper and tertiary aromas of leather, dark chocolate and coffee. The palate is full, sumptuous, with alcohol tending to complement the tannic roughness. Long and with a roasted finish. Cignomoro Winery  from the southern Italian region of Apulia has developed a special edition of wines in an elegant presentation. Bottles are  heavier, more robust. The vineyard management system is Alberello Pugliese, which means small trees, bushes that belong to the Mediterranean culture, an ancient system that belongs to the viticulture of Apulia, the planting density is 4000 seedlings per 1ha. The grapes are picked at the end of September, followed by aging in barriques for 6 months and then 4 months in the bottle.

Salento and red wines: if vines were already grown in Salento in the countryside of Manduria in the seventh to sixth centuries BC, there is a reason: the "mare nostrum" with its perfect microclimate caresses the grapes and turns them into a masterpiece.
